Support+ Service Added to VGIP

Our Voluntary Group Income Protection (VGIP) product now includes a nurse advisory service to provide extra peace of mind to claimants affected by long term illness or incapacity. 

Aptly called Support+, the new enhancement to the plan means a trained nurse will provide telephone support, referrals to other supporting organisations and may also provide a home visit. Additional advice can also be provided to family members where they are affected by the VGIP member’s incapacity. 

The improvements to the VGIP scheme do not end here. After the successful launch of VGIP in 2007 with our partners Unum and an improved product offering from the end of 2009 with Bupa, the scheme relaunched in August 2011, and new business is now underwritten by Personal Group's in-house insurer, Personal Assurance.
