The Personal
Group of Companies recognises
that what we do and how we do it may have a direct
or indirect effect on the local, regional and global
environment. We are committed to reducing any harmful
effects on the environment.
The Kyoto Agreement
commits its member countries (including the UK)
to an overall reduction of 8% below 1990 levels
of Greenhouse Gas emissions by 2012. In the UK it
is legally binding to reduce
emissions by 60% by 2050, which became law in 2008.
These targets to reduce emissions must be met if
the severe effects of global warming are to be mitigated.
But we cannot just expect someone else to do all
the work: the real difference must come from all
of us and that includes the Personal Group of Companies.
